Target audience

This report is written for people who are new to data science and machine learning, and looking for a simple intro to the Kaggle prediction competitions.

Competition Description

The Titanic sank on April 15, 1912, and 1502 out of 2224 passengers and crew died.

Not enough lifeboats is one reason for so many life loss. Some groups of people were more likely to survive than others, such as women, children, and the upper-class.

What sorts of people were likely to survive is the topic in this competition challenge.
